If you watch a Pilates class as a novice, it might appear as though the students are not doing very much really! (especially if you are a Fernie fitness fanatic!) However, if you attend a few classes and follow the instructions, you will soon feel the benefits.
Pilates is great for the posture and can really help issues such as back problems by engaging and strengthening the core muscles that other exercise routines can bypass. You can look taller and slimmer even without losing weight!
Louise has a great balance of exercises and leads you through each class with clear instructions. She can adjust classes for different levels of students and uses different props to mix it up and make it fun. Give it a try, it does more than you think and is a good complement and balance to other sports.

I suffer back, neck and shoulder pain (and I am only 29!) and was recommended Pilates classes by my chiropractor. I saw Louise’s classes advertised and had a couple of one-to-one sessions to learn the basics. The one-to-one sessions were a great introduction to Pilates and Louise was very encouraging which gave me the confidence to attend the classes.
The classes have been fantastic as they are always small groups and Louise is able to give you individual attention and her instruction is always clear. I have been impressed at how quickly I have felt the results and although I am sad to be losing my Pilates instructor to Canada I have been inspired by Louise to continue doing Pilates in the future. I would thoroughly recommend Pinnacle Pilates.
